Volunteer Appreciation: Kristy
Kristy is an integral part of A4A, and her impact is felt in so many ways, both big and small. From rallying her “pickleball crew” to show up and support our Petco adoption events, to making those early morning drives to Kona for airport flyouts, Kristy consistently shows up.
She never hesitates to jump in where she’s needed—whether it’s transporting dogs from animal control, stepping up to help organize volunteer schedules and supply bags, or even covering needed items out of her own pocket. Her willingness to take initiative and make things run more smoothly behind the scenes has not gone unnoticed.
And as if that weren’t enough, her husband Glenn is always ready to lend a hand when needed—making them an amazing duo we’re so lucky to have.
Kristy’s love for dogs is undeniable (with seven of her own, she certainly lives it every day!), and that compassion shines through in everything she does. She is an integral part of A4A, and we are beyond grateful for her unwavering support, generosity, and commitment to saving lives.

We want to give a huge shoutout to Anne,
our longest dog walker! 🌟
For several years now, Anne has been showing up rain or shine to give our rescue pups the exercise, love, and attention they need.
Her kindness and dedication have made such a difference — and her kids, Riley and Coral, have become an amazing part of our rescue family, too! They’ve helped dog-test so many of our pups and have given countless dogs the chance to find their perfect match. 💕
Thank you, Anne (and family!), for all the heart, time, and care you’ve poured into helping our dogs.

We want to thank John for his dedication and countless volunteer hours, especially during the Experience Volcano event on July 26 & 27! He does it all with a smile- whether he is setting up, walking dogs, talking to festival-goers, or having a heart to heart with Mahina (pictured).
