ADOPT A DOG!

Volunteer Appreciation:
Paula Pippin

Shout out to Paula Pippin, dog foster extraordinaire. She has just celebrated the adoption of her 30th foster dog—and without missing a beat, she’s opening her home to two more. Paula is always willing to say “yes” when it means saving a life, offering patience, love, and a safe place for dogs who need it most. Her commitment and compassion truly change lives, one foster at a time. Mahalo, Paula! 🐾💛

LILLY & CLEO
Meet Lilly & Cleo
Lilly is a 4-year-old, 60 lb Catahoula mix with a beautiful black and grey coat. She’s an easygoing, happy girl with a medium-energy vibe. She loves people and enjoys playing with other dogs.
Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a romp with dog friends, or a lazy nap in the sun, Lilly is always up for it. She’s well-mannered on leash, affectionate, and has that perfect mix of mellow and playful energy. She will sit right by your side with her sweet eyes, patiently waiting for pets and affection.
If you’re looking for a loyal, easy-to-love dog who will bring joy and calm to your home, Lilly might just be your perfect match. 💕
Cleo is a 4-year-old, 55 lb, beautiful brown Catahoula mix. She is very mellow & calm with a loving nature. She’s an easygoing girl who enjoys relaxing in the sunshine, going for walks, and spending time with her favorite people.
Cleo loves human companionship most of all — she’s happiest when she’s by your side. She prefers the company of people over other dogs. She is selective which dogs she will play with, though she may get along with another calm, respectful dog. She walks well on leash.
If you’re looking for a gentle soul who will bring warmth, quiet joy, and steady love into your home, Cleo is your girl.
These girls grew up together, but they can be adopted separately.
They are not bonded, and will do perfectly fine in their own homes.

Helping Community Friends
Action 4 Animals Hawaii works closely with community members and County of Hawaii Animal Control to try to save as many dogs as possible. It is always challenging when our furry family members need to find a new home, for any reason. To help ensure that animals do not end up in the shelter, this section is for pups in need of re-homing that are currently being housed by interim owners, who cannot keep them long term. If you see a dog listed below that you are interested in adopting or fostering, please let us know and we will put you in contact with the owner or care-giver.
