FOSTER SPOTLIGHT: LAURIE
We are so grateful for Laurie, who has been fostering with Action 4 Animals Hawaii for the past 9 months and has opened her heart and home to many dogs in need.
Laurie's passion for helping animals extends far beyond fostering. She founded the Canine Club at Keaau High School, where students volunteer with local rescues and learn about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
When she's not fostering, Laurie stays busy with her own dogs, participating in scent work, rally, and therapy dog activities. Her dedication, knowledge, and commitment to both animals and youth make a lasting impact on our community.
Mahalo, Laurie, for everything you do for our rescue dogs and for inspiring the next generation of animal advocates!!!

And Bingo was his name-o!
Meet Bingo, a 5-year-old, 30 lb. Red Heeler mix with a brain that runs at espresso speed and a heart welded firmly to his person. This handsome guy already knows “come,” “sit,” and “down,” and he’s the kind of dog who lights up when given a job to do. Adventure buddy? Training partner? Farm helper? Bingo is clocking in early.
He may be smallish-to-medium in size, but he’s carrying deluxe loyalty in a compact package. True to his cattle dog roots, Bingo likes purpose, routine, and staying connected to his human. He’s selective about his dog friends too, basically the bouncer of the canine social club. Some make the VIP list. Some do not.

Many of the pups below are at a boarding facility and are available to foster.

Starting April 1: Puppy Adoptions (under 6 months): $200
Adult Adoptions (6 months & older): $150
All include spay/neuter, first vaccines, microchip, and treated for parasites

Helping Community Friends
Action 4 Animals Hawaii works closely with County of Hawaii Animal Control to save as many dogs as possible, with most of our intake coming directly from Animal Control rather than community surrenders. This section is for dogs needing re-homing.
Our goal is to help prevent dogs from entering the shelter system whenever possible.
