ADOPT A DOG!

Volunteer Appreciation: Kristi

Kristi is an integral part of A4A, and her impact is felt in so many ways, both big and small. From rallying her “pickleball crew” to show up and support our Petco adoption events, to making those early morning drives to Kona for airport flyouts, Kristi consistently shows up.

She never hesitates to jump in where she’s needed—whether it’s transporting dogs from animal control, stepping up to help organize volunteer schedules and supply bags, or even covering needed items out of her own pocket. Her willingness to take initiative and make things run more smoothly behind the scenes has not gone unnoticed.

And as if that weren’t enough, her husband Glenn is always ready to lend a hand when needed—making them an amazing duo we’re so lucky to have.

Kristi’s love for dogs is undeniable (with seven of her own!!), and that compassion shines through in everything she does. She is an integral part of A4A, and we are beyond grateful for her unwavering support, generosity, and commitment to saving lives. Mahalo, Kristi!

Helping Community Friends
Action 4 Animals Hawaii works closely with community members and County of Hawaii Animal Control to try to save as many dogs as possible. It is always challenging when our furry family members need to find a new home, for any reason. To help ensure that animals do not end up in the shelter, this section is for pups in need of re-homing that are currently being housed by interim owners, who cannot keep them long term. If you see a dog listed below that you are interested in adopting or fostering, please let us know and we will put you in contact with the owner or care-giver.
